REGULATIONS
What are guidelines and why are they important?
Guidelines and regulations limit the use of many chemicals in apparel, including fabrics and trims. Some restricted substances that may be found in clothing include certain azo dyes, flame retardants, waterproofing and stain-resistant chemicals, nickel used in metal accessories, and Chromium VI in leather. Prolonged exposure to these substances can pose potential health risks, which is why their use is strictly controlled.
